What this protects — and what it doesn’t

Protected

  • Your topic, name, email and message are encrypted on this page, with a key derived from the Internet Computer’s threshold vetKeys, before anything is sent.
  • The canister that stores it, the node operators who run it, and anyone reading its state see only ciphertext.
  • Only a signed-in HYP Labs admin can obtain the key that opens it.

Not hidden

  • That a message arrived, when, and its rough size — lengths are padded to 256-byte steps, so only the bucket shows.
  • Your IP address, to the network node that relays the request — as with any website.
  • Removing someone’s admin access stops them fetching messages; it does not revoke a key they had already obtained.

Before sending, your browser spends a few seconds on a proof of work. That is how the inbox keeps out spam without tracking anyone. Privacy
